SIA CCTV Course Whitechapel – Public Space Surveillance (SIA-Approved Course)
To qualify for the Public Space Surveillance (SIA CCTV) licence in Whitechapel, you must complete the structured training course and pass the required exam. The SIA requires a minimum of 27 hours of classroom training for this qualification. If you do not meet this requirement, the certificate will not be valid. This 3-day course ends with an exam and runs weekly at our Whitechapel location.
Course Content
Unit 1: Working in the Private Security Industry
Understand the key aspects of the Private Security Industry, focusing on legislation related to licensable activities. You will also receive training in safe working practices, fire safety, and emergency procedures. Additionally, you will develop vital communication and customer service skills.
Unit 2: Working as a CCTV Operator
Learn the responsibilities of SIA CCTV Licence, including operational procedures, codes of practice, and relevant legislation. You will focus on communication and emergency response within CCTV control rooms, while also gaining knowledge about CCTV systems and health and safety requirements.
Unit 3: Practical Operation of CCTV Equipment
You will gain hands-on experience in operating CCTV systems. This unit ensures that you can use equipment safely and efficiently in real-world situations.
