SIA Door Supervisor
6 days of Level 2 Door Supervisor training at our Whitechapel centre (E1) with Emergency First Aid included: everything you need to apply for your SIA Door Supervisor licence. Pay £100 online to book and the rest at the centre.
The SIA Door Supervisor course in Whitechapel is the Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors in the Private Security Industry, the qualification you need before you can apply for an SIA Door Supervisor licence. It covers door work, guarding, searching, conflict management and physical intervention, and this booking includes the Emergency First Aid certificate the SIA asks for with the application.
Training is at East London Business Centre, 93 to 101 Greenfield Road, London E1 1EJ. The centre is on Greenfield Road, opposite Maedah Grill, a few minutes on foot from Whitechapel station (District, Hammersmith and City and Elizabeth lines) and Aldgate East. Whitechapel has been one of our busiest centres since the business started. The building is a business centre, so the classrooms are quiet, and the market, cafes and Whitechapel station are all within a few minutes.
At Whitechapel this course starts every other Monday. There are 2 dates open to book now, listed below with the day each one starts. The course runs over 6 days, 9am to 6pm each day. Every session counts towards the SIA's minimum hours, so plan to be there for all of it.
The full fee is £350. You pay £100 online when you book and the remaining £250 at the centre on your first day. The deposit is not refundable, because your place is registered and the trainer is arranged as soon as you book, but you can move to another date once, free of charge, with at least 48 hours notice.
Mostly people starting out in security and people moving from guarding to door work, because the Door Supervisor licence covers both. You need to be 18 or over with the right to work in the UK. No security experience is needed, and the exams are taken at the centre at the end of the course.
Bring a passport or driving licence, two proofs of address dated in the last three months, and three passport size photos. ACT Awareness and ACT Security certificates are needed too. They are free online and the joining instructions show you where.
The full syllabus, the units and exams, and the questions people ask before booking are on the SIA Door Supervisor course.
