Finding the Barking centre
The centre is in Barking town centre, IG11, close to Barking station (District and Hammersmith and City lines, Overground and c2c trains). Barking is the centre for the Essex side of East London. The town centre location puts it close to Barking station and the bus station, with Dagenham, East Ham and Rainham all a short ride away.
On your first day at Barking
Arrive in good time with your passport or UK driving licence, two proofs of address from the last three months and three passport size photos. SIA licence courses also need your two free ACT counter terrorism certificates, which the joining instructions explain. Bring the balance of your fee. Courses run from 9am, and every session counts towards the hours the SIA requires, so plan to be there for all of it.
