SIA Door Supervisor Refresher + First Aid in Ilford

This SIA Door Supervisor refresher + First Aid in Ilford is the refresher qualification the SIA has required since April 2025 before a Door Supervisor licence can be renewed. Over two days it brings your training up to the current units, including searching, safeguarding and physical intervention.

Dates and times at Ilford

Getting to the Ilford centre

Training is at Olympic House, Level 3, Room 317A, 28 to 42 Clements Road, Ilford IG1 1BA, opposite City Gates Church. Olympic House is opposite City Gates Church, about five minutes on foot from Ilford station on the Elizabeth line. Olympic House on Clements Road is five minutes from Ilford station, so the centre draws from Barking, Romford and the whole of the Elizabeth line east of Stratford.

What you pay

The full fee is £250. You pay £80 online when you book and the remaining £170 at the centre on your first day. The deposit is not refundable, because your place is registered and the trainer is arranged as soon as you book, but you can move to another date once, free of charge, with at least 48 hours notice.

Who books the Door Supervisor refresher at Ilford

Mostly Door Supervisors whose licence expires in the next few months and anyone whose licence has lapsed and wants to work on doors again. Bring your current or expired licence number. The SIA lets you renew before your licence expires or up to three years after, and the refresher is valid for your renewal once you have passed.

What to bring

Your passport or UK driving licence, two proofs of address from the last three months and three passport size photos. For an SIA licence course you also need your two ACT certificates, which are free online; the joining instructions explain how to get them.
