Finding the Forest Gate centre
Forest Gate station on the Elizabeth line is a 10 to 15 minute walk, one stop from Stratford and direct from Liverpool Street. Wanstead Park on the Overground is also close. The Forest Gate centre is in E7, between Stratford and Manor Park. It is a quieter spot than Stratford itself, a 10 to 15 minute walk from Forest Gate station on the Elizabeth line.
On your first day at Forest Gate
Arrive in good time with your passport or UK driving licence, two proofs of address from the last three months and three passport size photos. SIA licence courses also need your two free ACT counter terrorism certificates, which the joining instructions explain. Bring the balance of your fee. Courses run from 9am, and every session counts towards the hours the SIA requires, so plan to be there for all of it.
